Thank you for your interest in the FP2020 Market Dynamics Working Group.
All FP2020 Working Groups consist of two Reference Group approved co-leads, a core membership of 10-20 individuals representing a wide range of stakeholders and expertise, and an extended consultative membership, called upon at least twice annually. All Working Groups may also develop one or more time-limited, task-oriented sub-groups at the co-leads’ discretion.
The Market Dynamics Working Group’s purpose over the next eight years is to engage in work to support the following goals: (1) secure better value for money in family planning markets, (2) enable women to choose from a broad range of family planning methods, and (3) promote equity in access to family planning options. Market Dynamics Working Group members will be essential in executing this approach.
Membership will represent a wide range of stakeholders, including governments, civil society, multilaterals, donors, private sector, and the research and development community. It is critical that membership reflect our global constituencies, therefore we encourage applications from all interested parties. Members are expected to contribute approximately 10% of their time to the Working Group, and will serve for a two-year term. Membership is non-transferable. Each applicant must be committed to serving their full term. All Working Group members will serve on a voluntary basis, and no compensation is offered.
The Market Dynamics Working Group co-leads are John Skibiak, from the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition, and Allen Staple, from the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Approximately10-20 individuals will be selected to serve as the Working Group’s core membership. Members will be selected by a panel comprised of the co-leads and members from the Task Team. The Working Group will be accountable to the 18-member Reference Group. Please note the working language will be English. To review specific activities that will be undertaken by the Working Group, please refer to the Terms of Reference
The membership application process will close on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. EDT. Applications that are not complete or do not include an uploaded CV (resume) will be disqualified.
Each Working Group has an affiliated Consultative Network of stakeholders who will be engaged periodically for input. Anyone who is interested may sign up to be a part of the consultative network. To join click here.
